Set up your lines.

Put a peg in the ground (we use a screwdriver) through the little loops on the straps and unwind all of the lines moving downwind.

Pick up the ends and, holding your hands together gently apply the same amount of tension to each one will more than likely be longer than the other so remember which is longest and by how much - they are usually two different colours – you will need to use an adjuster to bring the shorter line to the same length.

Untie the shorter line from the handle, noting how it was attached, then re-tie on the adjuster to the strap in the same manner.

Tie the line to the adjuster at the appropriate length using a Larks Head knot wrongly called a Larch Loop in the Tutorials in this web site (live with it!)

Go back to the other end and assemble the kite – (use this link to go to Tutorials on this site).

Attach the assembled kite to the lines

(We always put the red one so that it is in the right hand – Red is Right – easy! The line should still be pegged so you can now stand the kite on its tips and lay it back against the wind so that it does not take off.

Now go to Launch and fly
