About us
Allan and Marilyn Pothecary have been flying since 1993, then in dual line pairs since 1996 and in competitions since 2002.
Allan is a Sales Manager and Marilyn works for a major supermarket chain in customer services.
Having retired from competition in 2007, they now enjoy coaching and developing their wonderful displays and routines for the festivals and corporate events to which they are invited throughout the year.

Close Encounters Kites are a kite display team based in Hampshire. Displays are set to music or commentary and can include a session on how to fly and wide range of demos, from trick flying to ballet We also have a large collection of single line kites for static displays.
We work with national organisations, corporate events, schools and private functions
– and can be found demonstrating at many festivals large and small -
